I started crocheting again two years ago when I found out I was going to be an uncle.

About Me

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet dolls

My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was very young. I did a few small projects and then stopped until I was in college. I again did several projects, hats mostly, and then stopped again. After moving to Chicago I made a blanket and then the hook and yarn went into storage for about ten years. Now I Crochet on a daily basis and make a variety of items from shawls and scarves to dishcloths and dishtowels. I’ve dabbled in amigurami, making Winnie the Pooh and Piglet (too!) for my nephew, and I’ve completed several afghans and throw blankets.

Rack of scarves and scarfettes

Along with crocheting I have several other craft hobbies. I make inserts for traveller’s notebooks, scratch pads, candles, novelty crayons, and traveler’s notebook covers. I also collect fountain pens and have taught myself to refurbish vintage fountain pens, such as the Sheaffer Snorkel.
